Since I haven’t managed to find time to craft anything in the last week or so, I thought I’d start my blog off with a different type of challenge – a photo challenge. Since I’m starting Dec 2nd, I will be off by a day (and it will drive me insane) but I think I’ll probably just post two photos New Year’s Eve or two on Christmas. I’ll be documenting this crazy month (because December always is!) with a photo per day. Hope I can keep up! If you’d like to join the challenge, please visit ThoughtsNStuff to sign up.
This first image is of my favorite corner in my kitchen (yes, I really painted my kitchen that color – on purpose!) These little cocinas bring me to my happy place – and make me wish I was eating some tamales.

Emma, I downloaded the graphic elements from http://sweetshoppedesigns.com/ and then put them together for this blog. Glad you like it, I am still learning how to customize it!
Many of our rooms are still white after almost 4 years of living here! It’s an overwhelming task!

What a cute blog Angelica!! Did you do it yourself? I love it!! I have to agree that I do love that color on your wall! After 8 year living in my house, I still haven’t decided what color I want to paint my kitchen! How sad is that!! I betcha if I didn’t have this fun hobby, my whole entire house would be painted instead of just the bedrooms & bathrooms! lol….

Haha, thanks Viv! A tamal is a delicious Mexican dish that is made of masa (corn meal), a corn husk, and some type of filling. (My favorite is spicy pork.) The masa is rolled out similar to cookie dough, and the filling is laid on top. The masa with filling is rolled into the husk and they are tied at the ends, then steamed to perfection. To eat, you remove the husk and eat the masa with the filling! I’m sure I’m missing a ton of steps, but they are delicious and traditionally served during Christmas.
) As you can tell, I LOVE them!!

Mom, yeah right, there’s no way I could ever make them taste as good as Grandmas. She said she will make them for us when we’re there next month, though! Yeeeeah!

I LOVE the color on your wall, its the same color we painted my DD bedroom, and its so bright and cheery.
Our dining room is terra cotta orange so I am so glad to find someone that loves bold colors as much as I do.
Gorgeous picture.

I love the color on your wall! I think a kitchen should be bright and energized and that color definitely does that!
