PSA Essentials and Cottage Cutz Holiday Card Blog Hop

Hello and Happy FRIDAY! Today The Scrapping Cottage is hoppin’ with PSA Essentials to bring you holiday card and project ideas using products from both companies! Have you just come from the super talented Meylssa’s blog? If not, be sure to head to the beginning of the hop with Kay so you don’t miss a stop or a chance to win!

PRIZE PACKAGE DETAILS:   Readers who hop to each of the blogs, comment at each, and are a follower of PSA Stamp Camp will be entered to win the “Holiday Card” prize.  This prize contains 3 Peel & Stick stamp sets, 1 stamper, 1 black ink & 1-2 color ink from PSA Essentials.   The winner will also receive a $50 gift certificate to The Scrapping Cottge for the grand prize.   There are also 9 opportunities to win a 3 x 3 die from The Scrapping Cottage! Just leave comments along the way and each Cottage Cutz designer will choose one lucky winner to win a 3×3 in stock die of their choice! Suh-weeet!
I knew I really wanted to create with the Peachy Keen line of dies from the Scrapping Cottage. They are pretty simple to put together, and don’t require you to use all the pieces. I used the Gingerbread Dolls and Doll Accessories. I used a different face stamp set (Happy Lashes by PKS) than what comes in the package but the faces that it comes with are also SUPER cute.

I was lucky enough to be in a blog hop with PSA earlier this year and had this sweet set of “Whimsy Cakes” that worked perfectly with my “Baker’s Man” gingerbread. To me, it almost looks like they’re bringing a holiday treat to a friend! :)

I used patterned paper from Crate Paper’s “Peppermint” collection, and Echo Park’s “Holly Jolly Christmas” line.
Hope you enjoyed my little stop on the hop, next, head on over to Cheryl’s blog where I’m sure you’ll find something amazing!

Lost? No problem! Here’s the full link list to help you find your way! Have a super weekend!

For my project today, I have to admit, it was one of those weeks where as much as you try, you just can’t get your mojo going and with things going on in every aspect of life right now, I figured it was best to keep it simple. ;) People always tell me they love our background stamps for that reason – the simplicity of stamping the background and layering makes card-making so easy! Stampers who are just starting and seasoned, expert stampers all say the same thing!
I used our Punched Tin background and the sentiment is Comforting Florals. The twine is my favorite neutral – Cappuccino! Sorry for the dark photo, have I mentioned how much I dislike it getting dark so soon? ;)
Your next stop on the hop is the sweet and SO talented Michele Gross!! Have fun hoppin’ and good luck!

Peachy Keen Kut Outs Blog Hop

Good Morning Peachy Friends! I hope you’re just joining me from Ruthie’s blog, but if not, no worries! I have the entire blog hop list at the bottom of my post, and you can start over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog so you don’t miss a single stop along the way!

Today, we’re excited to show you some ideas on how to use our new Peachy Keen Kut Outs!!

 For my card today, I used the Christmas Tree Die as well as the Santa Tree stamp set that coordinates. There’s also another coordinating set, Decorate Me Tree! There are so many options and fun ways to use these!

Using Copic Markers in YG03, YG05, and YG25, I first layered my lightest color onto the tree (YG03).

I took my mid shade (YG05) and flicked my marker under each tree “bough”. I blended the edges with my YG03 again.

Finally, I took the darkest color (YG25) and flicked a little more under each bough and blended once more. SUPER easy blending technique and the results are so pretty!

For my tree’s cheeks, I used craft chalk and applied in a circular motion until I acheived the desired color. His eyes are colored in with a white gel pen, his nose and mouth were colored in with a dark pink gel pen.

I finished up my card by embossing a light teal panel and adding some Nestabling. I love the little bit of POP it gives the card!

The sentiment is from the new “Oh by Golly” set that coordinates with the new releases.

Be sure to leave your comments across ALL blogs in the hop, as each comment is a chance at winning ONE of THREE prize packages!

Each winner will receive their choice* of one new die and one new stamp set! (*subject to availability)

BLOG HOP Order:

The Twinery and The Greeting Farm Hop and PKS Winner!

Welcome to our combined Blog Swap/Hop today featuring two fantastic companies,  The Twinery and The Greeting Farm !   If you’re just getting here from the SUPER talented Carisa’s blog, WELCOME!  If you have yet to begin the hop, please visit the TWINERY BLOG to begin!  Hooray!

We are so excited to bring you a fun hop, loads of inspiration when the world of TGF Rubber stamps collides with the quality baker’s twine we’ve all come to know and love, and some of the most talented designers in the industry with new and fun projects to share!

Did we mention PRIZES? There are definitely a few of those too so you’ll want to check out our event today! Thank you so much for coming!

The Greeting Farm first sprouted into the stamping world in 2008 as a small dream and has cultivated into something wonderful because of wonderful customers like you! With three years of farm-fresh images under their belt, TGF is going strong and love brings you fun-loving, animated characters, including the best-selling “Anya” line. The Greeting Farm brings you cute, charismatic images that are LOADS of fun to COLOR! There is truly something for EVERYONE on the Farm and we are so glad to be teaming up with the Twinery today!

As for the Twinery, twine is made from 100% cotton, it’s eco-friendly and made in the USA. Whether you’re gift wrapping, crafting or tying up baked goods to give to a friend, this TOP quality baker’s twine adds a fresh, yet nostalgic look to any project at hand! The Twinery twine comes in 14 delicious colors and is uniquely twisted against a bright white hue, creating an eye-popping burst of color and a creative embellishment! It has lots of color which lends to a fun, candy-striped look.

I could not have found a more perfect TGF stamp for me if I tried! “Boho Anya” is decked out in a super cute flowy skirt with cute, cute, cute flowers in her long hair. I got my Copics out and got to coloring! I used just a few buttery yellow shades, blue greens, red violets, and yellow-oranges. They matched my paper almost to a “t”! LOVE!

Now, if you’ve followed my blog for awhile, you know I LOVE using my twine to border my cards or wrap different elements in. I decided to do something a *little* different and a bit more “bohemian” and braided three pretty, contrasting colors together to give it a little more detail. I topped it off with a punched flower in coordinating patterned paper. All of my twine was adhered with Glossy Accents and the top two layers are mounted on dimensionals.

I loosely followed this week’s CPS Sketch – I thought it was something fun and different!

MATERIALS USED:

Cardstock: Kraft {Papertrey Ink}
Pattern paper: Country Drive {Echo Park}

PKS Mini Release Hop & Market Street Stamps’ Anniversary Week Kick Off

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps Fall Mini Release & Country Bumpkin Blog Hop! If you just came here from the Peachy Keen Blog, you’ve found the first stop – yay! If you just happened to stop by my blog, be sure to check out PKS first so you don’t miss out on all the info!

Peachy Keen Stamps just released some super cute Fall sets earlier this month – if you missed them, be sure to head back to the blog to see all the new sets! Our sweet friend and fellow designer, Lorie, also introduced her new line – Country Bumpkin Stamps – which will be exclusively available through Peachy Keen’s website!! YAY! Congratulations Lorie!!

This hop lasts three days (today – Wednesday) and some of our designers will have new projects posted all three days, so be sure to check the hop during that time. If you leave a comment, each of the designers will choose one lucky commenter to win a $15 gift certificate to Peachy Keen Stamps!! There are over TEN chances to win!

For my card today, I wanted to really make this adorable ear of corn stand out. To do just that, I stamped the multiple stalk corn image first from the Faceless Corn Set (this is easily becoming one of my FAVORITE PKS sets!!). I then inked up just the bottom stalk again and stamped it to create another stalk “growing” next to it.

After I had that stalk stamped, I went ahead and stamped the larger individual cob of corn on top to make it appear like it could be growing or at least popping out from the stalk itself. Because I was paper piecing, masking the stamp was not necessary. The paper covers up any overlapping lines.

Using dimensionals, I popped up the left leaf and the top triangle in his “hair” for a more 3-d look. What do you think?

Here is a list of everything I used to create this super simple (but FUN) card!

MATERIALS USED:
Cardstock: Rustic Cream {Papertrey Ink}, Kraft {stash}
Pattern paper: My Little Shoebox
Fiber: Honeydew and Cappuccino Baker’s Twine {The Twinery}
Stamps: Faceless Corn Set {Peachy Keen Stamps}

Be sure to head to the other PKS Design Team Member’s blogs today through Wednesday and don’t forget you can save 10% MORE on top of the already in-place discounts at PKS! Simply use:
