NEW colors from The Twinery!

Introducing….three of my newest FAVORITE hues from the Twinery ….

Seriously. I am in LOVE.

Did you stop by The Twinery’s blog yesterday?

Nicole revealed the new colors and announced that entire spools are

 just $12.00 for a limited time to celebrate the new colors!

How FUN! This is the PERFECT time to get you some twine.

I crafted a little card to showcase my new faves:

The silhouette is a Cottage Cutz die – from the “Aubrey” collection of paper designed by My Little Shoebox.

If you haven’t seen MLS new releases, allow me to lift the rock you’ve been living under,

because they’ve teamed up with stellar manufacturers like Cottage Cutz (for thin metal dies)

and Unity Stamp Co. (for their designs in rubbah!)

SO much MLS love! And I’m not complaining ONE BIT.

I kept my card very clean and simple to highlight the scrumptious twine.

All I did was simply ink up the edges of my die cut pieces softly and striped my twine using Glossy Accents. How’s THAT for easy and beautiful?

MATERIALS USED:
Cardstock: White {stash}, Stampin’ Up, Papertrey Ink
Ink: Distress Ink
Fiber: Denim, Buttercream, Stone {The Twinery}
Misc: Cameo & Oval Frame {CottageCutz – designed by MLS}, Glossy Accents, Foam Tape

Stay tuned…this won’t be the last you see of these new colors on my blog!!! :) Have a great Monday! – Angelica

May Release Sneak – Market Street Stamps : Tiki Time + Keep Calm

Hello from Sunny California! Today I took both my little girls – ages 2 & 3 on a four hour plane ride from Wisconsin to Los Angeles today to visit my family. What an experience! This sneak couldn’t have come at a more perfect time because after this morning I am totally dreaming of some “tiki time” now – lol!!

This first card is from “Tiki Time”. “De-Lovely” is one of my all time favorite Cosmo Cricket papers, and I find it goes with practically any occassion. I used the leftover scraps from Lucy’s 3rd Birthday party invites to create this yummy mmmmmmargarita card! Come on over - you bring the limes and I’ve got the rest! ;)

My second card is a simple style but with the colors, packs a punch just like I’d hoped! I even stamped Loopy Loo polkas in Versamark watermark ink as my background for a little added interest. Don’t you love that little pom pom trim?! I thought it was super fun, it’s from American Crafts.

Be sure to check out the Market Street Stamps blog for more peeks and blogs to comment on for a chance to win! There’s A LOT to see this week, you don’t want to miss out on a single chance to win!

Thanks for stopping by! Sunny smiles, xo, Angelica

First, I have an exciting sneak peek to share with you. Peachy Keen Stamps is releasing 3 new face collections as well as St. Patty’s Day and Valentine’s Day image sets. The image sets are PERRRRFECT for coloring (Valentine’s Day sets are already available for sale on their website) with your Copics or Prismacolor Pencils. The faces are absolutely adorable, and are some of my most favorite yet. I can see how I would use them A LOT with the Twinkle Toes Cricut Cartridge I picked up recently. That’s what I used for my project and here is my peek!!

Advent Calendar Blog Hop

Good Morning everyone, and welcome to another fun-filled blog hop hosted by Ruthie! Thanks so much for stopping by, I am the first stop on the blog so if you arrived here and haven’t heard anything about it, you are in luck!! We have 15 super talented ladies who’ve created an advent calendar to share with you! You’ll want to be sure and click the “next blog” button on each stop as there are prizes and giveaways along the way! The hop order is listed below my photos to help you find your way back to the last blog you left off at. Super huge thanks to Ruthie for putting this together and for allowing me to be a part of it!

For my calendar, I took a 12×12 frame and inserted a cork tile. I used the new acrylic ornament shapes from Peachy Keen Stamps to create each day of the countdown. {There is an AWESOME sale going on right now until Sunday – up to 25% off!} These shapes come with a paper lining on each side to protect from scratches during handling & shipping. My mom designed them with versatility in mind, and you’ll have to go check out her blog to see all the fabulous ornaments she whipped up herself!! I am secretly hoping she will give some to us to adorn our tree this year *hint hint*. I left one liner on the front and covered in paper. This eliminated any need for sanding or prepping (as you sometimes encounter when using a non-porous surface). What I realized then, was that I could peel the liner off the backs and have a PERFECT dry erase surface so I can re-use this calendar again year after year! I intend to write little notes, Christmas verses or hiding places for small treats for my girls.

I used Modge Podge to seal my frame as well as The Twinery twine in Cappuccino and “Eskimo Kisses” by Basic Grey for my paper. I will get a better picture in here later today – also my Silhouette was not cooperating with me which is why I free-handed the numbers. Those will be re-done as well! I flipped one of the ornaments over so you could see how I used the dry-erase marker. This way I can change the messages year to year!

*edited @ 1:15 pm CST 11-27*

I apologize for the crummy photo and quick hap-hazard way I numbered this calendar! I had originally thought to alter one of those beautiful 7-Gypsies trays but had so much trouble separating into the 25 sections and the measurements I made were all off – ugh! It was not my week! SO… at the last minute I decided to change the entire design and was literally up until this was posted at 5 a.m.! That being said, I’ve had all morning to finish what I intended and I want to really say how sorry I am, I had to post a picture even if it wasn’t what I was envisioning because as they say, the show must go on! :) Here is the advent calendar as I envisioned:

Today I am giving away a $20 gift certificate to Market Street Stamps!

{Just in case you don’t win the gift certificate,  we are also having a BIG 20% off + free stamp sale at Market Street Stamps right now until tomorrow!}

To be entered to win, just leave me a comment (with a way to reach you) letting me know if you went shopping on Black Friday!

I definitely didn’t!! Online shopping is a beautiful thing!! :) :)

Thanks again for coming by, enjoy the hop!!
